In 1955 Mr Mutch moved the business to Cremorne on the North Shore, where he continued to supply his mouth watering cakes, sausage rolls and waffles to lunch shops in his local area. By 1969 he relocated to Gosford – where the homestyle Nanna’s brand was born.
Nanna’s has been treating generations of Australian families to delicious desserts for decades. It all began in the early 1950’s when Mr Alex Mutch, a baker and sweetooth, opened his cake and sandwich shop in bustling Pitt Street, Sydney. And the tradition for fine baking never stopped.
Patties Foods bought Nanna’s in 2003 and we’ve been cooking up a storm ever since. Today, Nanna’s famous fruit pies and crumbles are made with love and care in our Bairnsdale bakery using Mr Mutch’s same yummy recipes (with lots of tasty fruit). They’re perfect for morning tea with friends, an afternoon snack for the kids or a sweet treat just for you.
