7. Will Medical Costs be met?
The link between our products and the reported illnesses has not yet been confirmed. This makes it too early to comment but at all times our priority is the safety and welfare of our consumers.
Nanna's fruit pies, crumbles and waffles are sold in Coles, Woolworths and Independent supermarkets. Sometimes certain flavours will only be available in larger stores, so always check at a larger store as well.
You can find all of the nutrition/allergen information on each product page. This information is also on all packaging.
Use our Facebook Messenger and upload a picture of the product along with your email and the barcode and our friendly Customer Experience team will tend to it immediately.
The flour and sugar used in Nanna's fruit pies are sourced from Australia and the juicy apples in the fruit pies come from New Zealand. Perhaps we should have called them ANZAC pies!
Nanna’s fruit pies are best eaten straight out of the oven...delish! However if you want some for later, whether it has been cooked or just thawed, it will keep refrigerated for up to 48 hours (but we would be surprised if it wasn't gobbled up before then!)
Due to high demand, our berries are imported and the country of origin does change – depending on seasons, regions, weather conditions, quality, price and availability. In general our strawberries and blueberries come from Chile, raspberries and mixed berries are from China (the blueberries in the mixed berries come from Chile), our mango is from Vietnam and our avocado is from Peru. Rest assured, no matter where we source our frozen fruit, the same high Quality Standards apply.
We are one of Australia’s biggest suppliers of frozen berries and fruit, buying over 5000 tonnes a year and unfortunately there is insufficient frozen berries volume available within Australia to supply the quantities of frozen fruit at the quality we need. Irrespective of the country, we only deal with those suppliers that have health and quality standards that pass accepted international and Australian criteria.
We visit the sources of our fruit and berries and we and our supplier partners carry out regular inspections with all our suppliers to ensure it meets our strict quality criteria and Australian standards. All our berries are subject to stringent testing to comply with all relevant Australian Food Standards. There are regular inspections of our imported fruit both at source and on arrival. There are also tests conducted by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) on a random basis.
